Kaname nodded quietly. They passed a fallen giant and crossed over into a small trail of sunlight. A bluebird rushed past then, singing joyously. The lilt of a river echoed from ahead.

Huntress looked up at the sunlight, a bit surprised to suddenly find it in such a murky woods. "I must admit i wasn't expecting that so suddenly," she commented, breaking the silence as some squirrels scampered in the canopies above them.

Kaname chuckled. "That, I believe, was the intent." He walked into the sunlight and stepped over more fallen trees. He turned around. "Shall i help you over these fallen saplings, Blood?"

"Nah, I can handle it," she said as she hopped through them, nearly falling flat on her face multiple times but miraculously keeping her balance. "See? That's why I don't do ballet."

Kaname chuckled, showing a fang. "Indeed, that was very precarious stick dancing," he murmured and whirled back around to lead the way. They entered smoother ground littered with small purple and white flowers.

Blood watched him for a moment before following and looking around at the scenery as they passed through it. "I've always found it funny how a forest can go from nothing but ferns, moss, and trees to small meadows of grass and flower."

Kaname nodded, "Yes, it is quite interesting, perhaps even more so because it is without any effort." On top of a pile of saplings, the fox gazed at them, switching his tale.

Blood nodded in agreement, glancing at the fox again, brows furrowing. "Do you know our little stalker friend?"

A slow smile curled up Kaname's lips. "Indeed I do. He belongs to a Pureblood couple who reside here." The fox leapt off and trotted out of the thinning forest.

"Ok, that makes a lot of sense," ^^; "I was going to say that if not, I'd be a wee bit worried..." she said, rubbing the back of her neck with a hand.

Kaname turned his head and ruffled Blood's hair. "I wouldn't take you to dangerous spots, Lady of the Four Flowers under the Moon."

>//>; "I know you wouldn't," she said, shutting her eyes briefly as he ruffled her hair. "Not that I couldn't handle my own in a dangerous spot." >:}

He chuckled and moved on into the open. He passed the river, stepping over a few round stones and walked over to a few fallen aspen trees, where the fox lay resting. Kaname stepped over them and landed right into a knee-deep field of flowers. Glistening with rain, the white lilies swayed with the breeze. Mist rolled along the meadow in tuffs of grey clouds.

Huntress followed shortly after, stroking the foxes' head as she passed, pausing as she stood on the fallen aspens, jaw dropping when she saw the field of flowers. "They're....." she tried to speak but couldn't as she fell silent in awe.

"It's not during the full moon, but under the circumstances, it is the best I could do," Kaname murmured, lifting one from the field. He smelled its poignant scent and tossed it in a spiral upwards and towards Blood. It landed on her head and started drifting downwards.
