Kita followed Byakuya through the halls of the division as she gave a nod and a smile to the ones that looked their way. Some were rather odd looks and others hateful. Finally, it dawned on her. They knew. Kita then stepped toward Byakuya and took hold of his arm as they walked along.

"Don't worry," Byakuya said, "They will not harm you unless I order them to." He glanced back at her, "It was your clothes that gave it away.

Kita relaxed as she walked beside him. Still she was not as comfortable as she was before entering the division halls. She was just glad Byakuya was next to her. "So how much farther?" Kita asked her smile a little weary.

"Just through here," He said, sliding open a door, revealing the well kept gardens of the sixth division and stepping into the covered corridors that ran around the entire thing.

Kita looked around she was not shocked at all at how beautiful it was. She knew with Byakuya's pride and manner it would be everything she thought it would be. "It is just as I thought. Very beautiful, Lord Byakuya." Kita told him following behind him now.

The noble nodded, leading her into the actual garden, and to a bench under a cherry blossom.

Kita followed Byakuya through the garden looking around at all the newly bloomed flowers as they swayed in the gentle breeze of the afternoon. Once at the bench under a very pretty cherry blossom tree Byakuya stopped. Kita looked at him as he stood before her, his face stern and showed no emotion. "My Lord, may I ask you a question?" Kita dared to venture.

"You may," He allowed, taking a seat.

Kita watched as he took a seat on the bench, "Why don't you smile?" Kita asked him in a heartfelt tone.

Byakuya looked up at her, "There is not reason to..."

"Perhaps I should rephrase that..." Byakuya murmured, "I have no reason to smile. I dislike the spring..."

Kita looked around the garden and smiled warmly, "How could you not like the rebirth of the world." Kita opened her arms like she was going to hug someone as she turned slowly where she stood. "The tress, the flowers, the grass, even the smallest of creatures. Everything is being is reborn from the deathly kiss of winter." Kita had turned a full circle as she looked back at Byakuya. "Is that not what this," Kita lifted her arms guesting to where there were. "Is all about. To protect life and keep it all in balance. If someone entrusted me with a a job that important I would smile even more then I do now. I mean I know you don't protect nature. However, what you do protect is very important and there are a lot of people that would thank you for what you do." Kita smiled as she looked into Byakuya's eyes as she spoke in a solemn tone. "They do thank you. I just don't think you hear them."

"Hisana died early spring," Byakua explained, "As beautiful as this time of year is, it reminds me of her." He looked back up at her, "And i know what I do is important, and I am aware of my subordinates feelings, regardless of what Renji says. I jsut do not acknowlige it."

"I know this and I am sorry for your lose, Lord Byakuya. However, do you think she would like to see you like this. I know lose is a hard thing, but if she could see you right now do you think this would make 'her' smile to see you like this." Kita dared to venture. "I am sure it would not."
