"Well there you go. That's a refreshing way to look at it." Kira smirked. She then had a small thought. "Ulquiorra...you know the tale you told the other night? I really enjoyed it. Do you think you might share another with me?"

Ulquiorra looked at her, "Alright...another love story?" He thought for a moment, "Have you heard...'The Two Enemies Who Fell In Love?'"

"Hmm, I don't think so." She deliberated. "Let's hear it." She smiled and sat quietly, giving him the floor.

Ulquiorra nodded trying to remember the story, "I cannot remember all of the details...but I know the basic outline," He spared her a glance. "A bushi recieved an order from his Lord to kill another bushi for some odd reason or another, and were it anyone one else, he would have no problem following that order, but, the particular bushi he had to kill was none other than his best friend..." Ulquiorra looked around for his coffee.

Luna brought back both Ulquiorra's and Kira's order. "Please enjoy." She bowed once she set it on the table for the two. "Caramel Macchiato for Ms. Kira-chan and just Black for Ulqui-sama. Call if you need me <3" She skipped off again to wait on someone else.

Ulquiorra nodded at Luna, "Thank you..." He took a sip before returning the story. "However, an order was an order, so, he took his friends life, allowing the man's pregnant wife to live. And live she did, the lady moved to a different villiage and gave birth to her child. A gorgeous baby boy...and for a few years, the two lived in poverty."

"Thanks Luna-chan." Kira smiled then listened intently as she took a sip. She hadn't ever heard this one before. But she had theories on the flow. She was silent as Ulquiorra continued.

"When the child was 14, his father's killer arrived in the villiage. He had been expelled from the Lord's court due to some misdemeanor, and settled in a nearby town.
One day while hunting the bushi heard beautiful music playing, he followed the sound eventually arriving at a small hut. When he looked in the window he saw a lovely woman in her mid-30's playing the harp, and beside her, a gorgeous young boy, practicing his writing. It was obvious the two were of noble birth, but for the life of him, the bushi could not figure out what they were doing in such a place. The bushi knocked on the door and entered the hut, apologizing for disturbing the family, and went on his way. The bushi could not forget the beautiful boy and returned to befriend the family. Eventually, he and the boy fell in love, and the bushi took the little family to his home, where the three lived for a tranquil year.
Eventually however, the woman began to notice how much the bushi resembled her husbands killer. After asking him some leading questions, she concluded that he was indeed the man that killed her husband. She explained this to her son and told him that it was his obligation to avenge his father by killing the bushi. The youth was astounded and said that the bushi was only following orders, and that, if anyone, the Lord should be killed. The youth tried to appeal to his mother's better nature, explaining that the bushi had redeemed himself with all the kindness he had shown them. But to no avail, she was furious and accused the youth of being a coward and dishonouring the samurai. She claimed that she would have never accepted the bushi assistance and affection for her son if she knew who he really was and if her son was not willing to do the deed, she would do it herself.
Her son stopped her and assured her that he would kill the bushi. But his mind was in turmoil, he had to kill the man he loved for two years; however, he would not do so without explaining his reasons. He called his lover to the room that night and the bushi immediatly realized that there was something upsetting the youth. He asked why and the boy reluctantly revealed the reason, telling the bushi who his father was, and expressing his anguish at having to kill the man he loved so much.
The bushi did not lie, he admitted that he was indeed the one who killed the boys father and added that he would gladly die by his lover's hand. So saying, the bushi discarded his weapons and bared his neck to the boy. The youth insisted that he could not kill his lover in cold blood and wanted to engage in a sword fight.

"What happened..." She slipped, wondering if they would die together...or if they could live happily. But most stories like this were tragic...

"The mother heard their discussion, and she admired them. She permitted the lovers to spend one last night together, however...the next day, the youth would have to kill the bushi. The lovers spent that last night together, and the next morning, when the mother came to rouse the two, they would not wake. She pulled down the blanket, immediately seeing the sword peircing their hearts. Distraught over the her son's suicide, she took her own life in that same room." Ulquiorra closed his eyes, taking another sip of his coffee. He glanced over at Kira, "The end."

Kira sighed. "I knew it was tragic..." She took a drink of her coffee. "I hadn't heard that story before."

"It is not widely known....for obvious reasons...." Ulquiorra murmured, into his coffee.

Kira giggled lightly. "Yes." She thought a moment, still having over half her coffee left. "Perhaps I can return the favor...hmm..." She pondered, wondering if a story would come to her.

Ulquiorra glanced over at her, a little interested in what kind of story she would tell.

"Well...I must admit it's been some time since I've had anyone listen to any of the stories I tell...it's going to take me a bit to think a suitable one up." She admitted with a slight sweatdrop. "However! As I do that, I will tell you something else perhaps. Are you familiar with three of the greatest men in Japan's History? Of course I mean Nobunaga Oda, Ieyasu Tokugawa, and Hideyoshi Toyotomi(formerly Hashiba)?" She looked into his eyes. "These three were once posed a question, in which showed their personalities at their very cores." She paused. "Stop me if you are familiar with it."
((sorry for the late reply, I was a bit busy ^^; ))
