Sesshomaru let his feet decide his path as his sense explored the surrounding woods. A warm breeze was blowing through the trees, and a nest of wasps buzzed a few yards away. He looked out from the cliff, watching a few birds spiraling in the expanse of clouds.

"Hello, Lord Sesshomaru. Are you waiting for someone?" Kasbaarg asked, seeing him there alone.

"No," he replied shortly.

She nodded and looked out across the cliff as well in silence, shifting her sword at her side. Sometimes words were not needed to comunnicate.

Sesshomaru's hair rippled in the wind as he let the time pass in silence.

"It's a long way down." Kira grinned, leaning against a nearby tree and watching the two as they stood in silence. "I don't recommend jumping."

Sesshomaru turned to Kira. "For you, it may be. It is a simple jump for high-ranking demons."

"Is that so?" Kira smirked, pushing off the tree and approaching. Walking to the edge, she looked down. "Simple jump?" She questioned, looking up at him with a curious smile.

"It is," Sesshomaru replied. "It is equally as simple as showing you."

"Oh?" Kira spoke in an amused tone. "Please do, my Lord. I think I would enjoy such a demonstration."

Sesshomaru whirled back around, stepping to the edge. Below he could barely make out the silver ribbon of the river between the tall pines. "Very well." He leapt, seeming suspended in midair. Then, he dropped, his hair sparkling with the sunset, and he plummeted downward in a graceful descent. A tree whispered against its fellows as Sesshomaru touched its top and vanished into the expanse of green. A couple minutes later, he alighted behind Kira.
He knelt and scooped up some earth. Gently, he planted the lily he had uprooted from below. He turned to Kira. "Satisfied?" he asked, gold eyes fierce.

"Immensely." Kira said with a wide smile. She went into a sweeping bow. "Forgive me for challenging you my Lord, however...I can be quite mischievous. Please don't take offense." She admired the flower he planted. Noting he was fierce, yet also gentle...though she wouldn't say that aloud.

Sesshomaru turned around, eyes going to the clouds tinged with sunlight. "I did not," he said.

"Good." Kira smiled. "So tell me, Sesshomaru-sama...what brings you here? Seeking peace? Or merely passing through?"
