Kira blinked, looking at the dust in her palm. "I...uh...what if I mess up..?" She asked, closing an eye, unsure just where he wanted her to scatter this.

Kaname chuckled. "This won't cause the roses to open. It is not complete for that, but if you toss it, you will see the rainbow dust. I am confident you can do that."

Kira laughed, playfully pushing him with her elbow and upper arm. "Alright. Let's hope so." This was probably similar to her ninja dust and so drawing her hand down low, she then tossed it up, releasing the dust in a widespread arch.

The dust scattered, sending out slivers of deep red, shades of violet and a strip of indigo. It settled on the roses nearby as a nearly transparent silver veil. Kaname nodded his approval and turned back to the black rosebush. "That is one reason you don't see too much of its kind. But look closer, and you may see something fascinating." He pointed to a bud nearly naked from the breeze. In the center of its fold another rosebud peaked out of a dusty grey color.

Kira looked closely, tilting her head as she examined the light grey bloom. "What exactly is that...Kaname? Does it re-bloom the moment it's life is extinguished? Or...dual roses?" She queried.

"It is a little of both. It is reborn as long as there is moonlight, but it is a different rose." He turned it the shadows again. "It take a few days for the rose to mature into the ebony color, yet it's beauty is a mask for its delicate nature. The petals turn into lace, many layered lace and fade as sliver dust," he explained as they walked on. The mountain's side darkened the ground and dimmed the marble flecks.

" I see..." Kira commented after hearing him explain it to her, walking with her hands behind her back as she idly took in the nightscape. "A mask...huh?" She smiled lightly, as though irony had stricken a chord with her. Her eyes wandered to the mountain, looming in the distance.

"That's one way to put it." Kaname walked on, passing smaller black roses clinging to the rock. Like little bolts of coal, they clung to the ridge Kaname was maneuvering around.

Kira didn't know that the roses could survive on such a terrain, making her even more curious as to just where he was leading her. "Wh---" She started then bit her tongue. She had said she was patient...no need to let him gloat just yet.

Kaname suppressed his smirk when Kira sucked in her question. She would be asking soon enough. By now, th path was much clearer cut and rose higher. He stepped over a boulder protruding from the ground and turned to help Kira over it as the moon slid behind the clouds. Behind Kaname, another mist gathered. The hushed roar of water echoed overhead.

While she really didn't need help, she accepted his assistance anyway, simply because it was him aiding her. "Is that water....?" She questioned, more to herself as she listened closely. "A waterfall...perhaps..." She pondered.

Kaname turned around and offered his hand to Kira again. "It will become a near perfect mask to our eyes as soon as we enter the fog."

Taking his hand once more, she tilted her head. "Oh? Interesting..." She mused, a smirk finding it's way to her lips.

Kaname turned back around and entered the grey wall in front of him. Abruptly, all that could be seen was sleek grey, nothing else. It felt as if your eyes were disconnected from your body. Something pushed against your legs, arms, head, a vague reminder of your position, and a pungent aroma assailed your nose. Roses. It was not one gentle scent. Spicy and subtle rushed in, twirling around the mind at a sickening pace. Over it all, the rush of water persisted.

Kira hadn't expected that, resulting in her leaning heavily against him...or what she believed was him as she couldn't rightly be sure. She thought her eyes were shut, and yet she couldn't get over the scent invading her senses. She wanted to say something, but instead remained silent, hearing the rumble of water above all of the mixing sensations.
