It was dark in the classroom intended for the Night Class of Cross Academy, yet it was not empty. Sitting in the first row, Kira kicked her feet under her as she sat alone. She hummed her own little tune and admired the area around, keeping to herself for the moment for some odd reason.

"This is a fitting yet unusual place for you to sit idly in, Little Demon," Kaname noted from the doorway. He picked up a book from a small pile on a table by the tall window and flipped to a page. "Any particular reason you decided to visit?'

She smiled, turning her head slowly to look at him as he read over his book idly. "Reason? Hmmm, I don't know what you mean~" Standing up, she put her hand over her chest and gave a polite bow. "Good Evening to you, President Kuran~" She smirked, even wearing a Night Class uniform.

Kaname looked up, raising an eyebrow, and noticed the uniform. He chuckled quietly, flipping a page in the volume. "The last time two purebloods were at this school it changed drastically. I wonder what will happen now," he teased in a calm tone.

Covering her lips with her index finger in a shushing gesture, she smiled menacingly. "Now Now, I'm not here to cause any upheaval. I merely wish to see what it's like, being a student watched over by a man like you."

Kaname chuckled and offered her a book. "I hope you find it pleasing, Kira." He turned back to his book, turning to a dim illustration of a garden wall with climbing roses. "It has been for me."

A knock disturbed the two. "Kaname..." Takuma Ichijou paused in the doorway. "I thought you might be here."

Kaname closed the book and placed it on the table. "Ichijou," he acknowledged. He turned to the noble vampire.

Takuma clenched his hand then bowed. "Thank you for trusting me." He rose, nodded with a wistful smile to Kira, and left the room. A few minutes later, his aura had faded away.

After taking the book, she had stood and silently watched the two exchange words. Smiling after him, she sighed lightly. "I hope he is well now. He's so...." She shook her head, changing her mind about saying anything. "I wish he would've stayed. Might've been nice." ^^

A sigh passed through the pureblood's lips. "There are many things that might have been nice; however," he retrieved his book and turned to a page, "some things are not meant to be; although, we won't give up on them until the end."

Kaname raised his head to her, dark eyes unreadable. "Is that an order from the Demoness?" Before Kira could reply, his lips curled up slightly. "I suppose as long as I am reminded, yes, that is true." He handed her a small rose of dusky violet petals.

Taking the rose, she met his dark gaze with one just as unreadable. Mischief tucked away delicately. "Is that an order from the Demon Lord? That I should always keep him reminded?" She countered, smelling the rose.
